Wandering Kuala Lumpur

My first stop in this unplanned journey was the capital of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur aka KL.

There's hardly any other cities in the world that offers such an array of race, religion and culture. I was astonished by the harmonious coexistence of the Malay, Chinese and Indians among other races. The best part about the multi culture in there is the countless number of holidays they get to have every year.

I spent one month wandering around the city, trying out all sorts of efficient public transit, and trust me they have A LOT!  My favourite was the sky train or as they like to call it the Monorail. It gives you a full view of the city.
My favourite part of KL was Chinatown, that's where I spent most of my time in a cosy Hostel.
There is a lot to see in KL and one month there was sufficiently enough to see it all.
I went shopping around and eating amazing ethnic food court meals.  Some friends and I from the hostel did a tour of the most famous malls. Pretty interesting! I found all I ever wanted to have and more. I also wondered around the suburbs to see the famous Batu Caves, dark and spooky, only reachable by a cardiac stress test of 272 steps, full of naughty monkeys bats and pigeons and in the front besides the stairs there’s a huge golden Buddhist sculpture standing tall and proud.

I also went down town to check out the famous Petronas Towers, the tallest building in the world from 1998-2004 and the tallest standing twin buildings. of 93 floors . They were pretty cool at night. But then again it’s just a big shopping mall that reflects the country's hightech ambitions and development.
Unless you visit, the basement, there is this huge supermarket and there's a sushi place where you all just sit around a conveyor belt and sushi just motors around you and you grab whatever you want.

I almost forgot to tell you about the most remarkable nights I’ve ever had in Kl and it happened to be my last one there too. It was Halloween night and I went to sunway lagoon for a cosplay competition with a friend from the hostel, I asked him to go with me because they only accept couples, so we went as the white rabbit (me) and the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. To our surprise, WE WON the second place, which is a night and a massage in a 5* resort & hotel.
With that our night has just begun! Since we were invited to the Halloween theme party in the Reggae Mansion under the theme of Alice in wonderland we headed back to the hostel to fetch the Queen of hearts to tag along and make a royal entrance to the rooftop bar, everybody was amazed by our costumes they fit the theme perfectly and were properly chosen. ♫ ~And we danced all night to the best song ever~ We knew every line. Now I can't remember ♫~
